I agree the straps can get uncomfortable with a heavy load but it takes a while before that happens.

The organization seemed to be a good balance without adding too much weight. We have an older Patagonia mlc mini 30L and it holds a lot of gear but is less organized. They make a great pair.

Very happy with the aion and would purchase again.
