Thanks to Dave Collins for setting “Guest” (from above) straight. Turns out there are multiple categories of tents that serve different functions and demographics. I personally wouldn’t have been so cordial in my reply. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback. The tent companies you’re mentioning mostly make non-freestanding backpacking tents focused on keeping weight and size to a minimum. We like those products and we review them as well. But this tent review is part of our Best Car Camping Tent review series, which is a different category – https://www.DuskHiker.com/camping/best-camping-tents/

The tent companies you mentioned are not a good fit for this category. Instead, people shopping in this category want extra space, ease of use, and they aren’t as concerned with weight. Just what America needs–a heavy, inner-first, mediocre tent that’s basically the same as hundreds of others currently available. Durston, Tarptent and other creative enterprises are still far out in front of this quagmire!
