Thank you for filling us in on your experience, we always appreciate hearing things like this. What year and model was the tent you used? When MSR first did a run of this new Hubba series, they had a lot of pole problems that needed to be fixed. After they fix those issues, however, it is our understanding that the polls are working well. Maybe you were unlucky and got one of the old batches of poles? The metal slipped inside the carbon fibre and the pole could not be used. Upon checking, all of the metal fittings were loose.
