Yup, right on the money Greg. It’s really important to throughly dry out your backpacking gear (especially the expensive stuff like tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, etc.) and keep it in a clean, dry, and warm location. Thanks for the comments and happy hiking!

Gotcha. That makes complete sense. I suppose the same could be said for tents or any other gear that might accumulate moisture.

Yup, that’s exactly correct. You want to prevent any chance for moisture to linger in your sleeping bag, which can lead to mildew and mold.
